• QIs my powerchair covered if I take it on holiday?
  AYes, your powerchair is covered worldwide for up to 21 days on our Economy and Essentials policies and 90 days on our Enhanced policy, so you can take it on holiday with you. Third Party Liability cover is excluded in the USA & Canada.
• QIs my Scooter covered if I take it on holiday?
  AYes, your scooter is covered worldwide for up to 21 days on our Economy and Essentials policies and 90 days on our Enhanced policy, so you can take it on holiday with you. Third Party Liability cover is excluded in the USA & Canada.
• QDo I have to insure my wheelchair?
  AIt is not a legal requirement to insure your wheelchair. However the small amount you pay for insurance could protect you in the long run against costly repair fees or claim costs should you hurt someone or damage their property with your chair.
• QWill you replace my wheelchair if it is damaged beyond repair?
  AWe offer new-for-old replacement if your wheelchair is stolen or damaged beyond repair.
• QIs my wheelchair covered if I go on holiday abroad?
  AYes, your wheelchair is covered worldwide for up to 21 days, so you can take it on holiday with you. Third Party Liability cover is excluded in the USA & Canada.
• QDoes this policy cover accidental damage to my wheelchair?
  AYes, this policy covers the cost of repairs or a replacement wheelchair if your chair is involved in an accident.
• QHow much is it to insure my powerchair?
  AOur prices start from just £39* per year. Powerchair insurance quotes depend on the type of powered wheelchair you are insuring and the amount of coverage you require. It’s important to make sure you don’t automatically go for the cheapest powerchair insurance, but instead choose the correct amount of cover for your needs.

• QIs my manual wheelchair covered under my powerchair insurance?
  AYes, manual wheelchair cover is provided with all of our Scooter & Powerchair Insurance policies. There is a limit of £1,000 on Economy level policies and £2,000 on Essentials and Enhanced policies.
• QHow do I make a claim if my powered wheelchair breaks down?
  AIf you are covered by our Enhanced Scooter & Powerchair Insurance and your scooter breaks down, you can simply give us a call on 0333 331 3886. Our Enhanced policy includes CareCo Protect + Go Rescue, which includes either recovery to your home, UK holiday accommodation or local repairer provided by breakdown experts Call Assist (if the destination is under 10 miles away). If you have either an Economy or Essentials policy, instead of CareCo Protect + Go Rescue, we provide policyholders with a recovery allowance of up to £100 per breakdown to make sure you can get home safely in the event of a breakdown.

  AOur prices start from just £39* per year. Scooter insurance quotes depend on the type of mobility scooter you are insuring and the amount of coverage you require. It’s important to make sure you don’t automatically go for the cheapest mobility scooter insurance, but instead choose the correct amount of cover for your needs.
